GROUPS AND COMMITTEES 

The Catholic community in Cranbrook has several groups, organizations that contribute to the well being of all citizens

of the East Kootenays.

Knights of Columbus  

The Knights of Columbus have a long history in Cranbrook. The first council was named the after the first church in the area, St. Eugene (1406), and was founded in 1904.

When Christ the Servant was founded in the 1980's, another council was founded (8631).

In 2014, both councils amalgamated into the St. Eugene council (1406). The group is still actively helping community and continues with Dinners at Christ the Servant during the fall, winter and spring.  For More information please look to the bulletin.

The Council Meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00PM at Christ the Servant in the Knights room. 

 

 

Catholic Womens League

The Catholic Women’s League (CWL) in Cranbrook are between the two church locations. While each council operates separately, they continue to be an organization that contributes to the life and vitality of the church, family and community, both at home and abroad.

St. Mary's CWL

General Meetings are the second Thursday of the Month at St. Mary Church Hall at 10:30am. (No meetings during the Summer)

Christ the Servant CWL

General Meetings are the third Thursday of the Month at Christ the Servant Hall following the 9:00AM Mass. (No meetings during the Summer)

Outreach Program 

This program began as a service project to help the needy of Cranbrook and distributes food hampers and clothing (as available) in an atmosphere of fellowship and camaraderie.

Functioning as service group within the Parish, the Outreach program operates out of the church hall at St. Mary church on the third Monday of every month. The doors open to the public at 8:00AM and offers coffee, toast and friendship with the distribution of food and clothing to follow.

This program is open to the public.

People of Unity Prayer Group

This Prayer group meets every Wednesday in the sanctuary at Christ the Servant church at 7:00pm during Advent.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

This ministry creates shawls for any person that may require prayers for those in need. Made with pride and prayers, these shawls are distributed to those that may be in need regardless of religious denomination.

This group meets approximately once a month at Christ the Servant. Information on the next meeting will be in the bulletin.
